HHR extended cab dually HHR truck conversion

I gave my little red HHR truck to my grandson for his 16th birthday so I decided to get busy on the dually. It should be drivable by the end of this week, but the body work will not be done. I used 2 HHR's, (one wrecked front and one wrecked rear) cut them apart and put them back together again to make the dually crew cab. The wheels and tires are from a 1993 Toyota camper. Will keep you posted on the progress. You can see pictures by clicking the item on the far left.

Lucky kid! Tell him happy Birthday! I'm looking forward to seeing this build. Your red truck came out really nice.

I have added a few pictures of the dually truck since I have pushed it outside. The frame structure is finished. I have extended all of the wiring and everything works. I am working on the brake line and parking brake extension. When that is done, I will attack the body work.

well thats different for sure! just wondering if you are going to be using the stock engine? is it a 2.2 or 2.4? im sure it will struggle to move those duallys in the back, but interesting project!

Well dang, that's gonna get some attention going down the road.

You're in the running for the "Most Ambitious Fab" award, if we had one that is.

Hmmmm....that's an idea for 2014, an award of sorts for the most radically customized HHR.
