Another 3 Bar Grill

I started a 3 bar grill using the advice from the forum
1- peeled off the chrome ( a test of patience )
2- reinforced cut out area's with fiberglass, to support bondo.

I filled the holes in the Bow Tie area, and carved a recess to mount a fender emblem from a 63 Corvette ( and you thought putting SS emblems on an LS/LT was goofy..how about vette crossed flags )

I made some aluminum plates with screws sticking out to mount the screen mesh.

It's about ready for paint now!

I'm going to try painting with duplicolor rattle cans..If it flops, then it's off to the body shop for a pro job.

Has anybody had any luck with rattle can Duplicolor paint?

Very Nice job on the Grille.. I dig it !!

There are some members that use rattle cans & it looks really good.. Perhaps one or two will chime in here..

Spiffy!

Duplicolor rattle cans work well just as long as you work methodically and hold a consistent distance from the piece you're painting.

Here the grill is with a fresh application of Victory Red with clear coat.
I took it to a Body Shop, so I could get the project finished up.
The boys at the Body Shop were glad to do something other than fix collision work.
