Mini's are cute but not my cup.of tea, but here's a link to a "How To" thread on taking the rear bumper reflectors on an HHR and lighting 'em up with LED's.

Just click the link below....

I like that look, but on the front bumper. I saw a post about it but I never saw any pictures of anyone who has tried it. Too much in the front?

it kinda boils down to this.....if YOU like the extra lights, then by all means, bolt them on and light up the night I personally like more lights as I had a personal experience and now, there can't be enough lights. I drive a 75 Opel Sportwagon with the 7" main headlights replaced with HELLA H-4s, mounted above and below the bumper are CIBIE Oscars both driving and fog units. I know this is a HHR site, but, I have to approve any mods with the wife, as she is the one who has the HHR

Well call me stupid muttin(go ahead, my wife does all the time), I thought you were talking about the Mini's rear fog lights etc.

As far as the rallye spotlights, as BQ said above "go for it".

The front fascia isn't the most solid structure in the world, so if you're thinking about huge Cibie lights, you'll need to work out a mount to the bumper bar behind the fascia.

The "How To" below will show you how to remove the front bumper/fascia, and give you a good look at what's hidden behind it.

HAHAHA! No worries. I am a woman who likes to do mods, but needs simple mods as of right now. Mounting to the bumper is not a bright idea? I wish someone out there has done this to an HHR. Way curious to see what it looks like.

Something like this? Drill into the bumper?

On my Opel I didn't want to drill into the bumper (hard to find now) what I did was make a small "L" to fit behind the bumper recoil mounts and come up just under the filler strips between the bumper and the body. They are securely mounted, but the mounts are not visible. You might want to do a search on removing the front facia, and just for the ability to see what's is where and how close, you might want to remove the facia and take some measurements.

I installed a pair of these lights on the top of the front bumper and run them directly off the battery with a switched relay. I bought them at a local off road and truck shop. They are the ones numbered 264502CL in this link:
RECON LED DRIVING LIGHTS RECON LED HIGH INTENSITY DRL Daytime Running Lights

Note that I did not buy them from these guys but they are small LED and give out lots of light.

I bought these at Walmart

Peterson V556-2 Fog Light Kit: Exterior Car Accessories : Walmart.com

They were a lot less expensive when I got mine though. I made a special bracket to mount the lights on just under main part of the bumper in the hole that that you can see the bottom of the air conditioner condenser.

I removed them a few months ago because I kept blow the light bulbs in them.

They did not jiggle much and I was happy enough with them but, I am in the process of redesigning the mounting bracket so it can not jiggle at all this time.
