Really sounds, as you suggested, the need to remove the coating completely and then respray with a Nightshades type product.
Not sure if we're talking about the same thing here, but the "dark" part of the Depos is the housing, not the lens. There's not a tint or anything. The fading/peeling is some sort of clear layer that's getting messed up.

Can anyone who has used the Maguire's or any other restorer post your techniques, results, issues?

Less then 6 months old I'd demand a replacement or refund. The chemical coating on aftermarket headlight housings should last at least a few years before any signs of peel or clouding, should last 5+ depending on brand and quality. It seems due to the trend of so many aftermarket automotive parts being made and sold the quality on many items have gone downhill. I planned to grab some of these when I do my body kit and paint job this next spring, maybe I will just go with some new or used factory replacements.

Sorry to bump an older thread but my Depos are doing the same thing, Just at a year of being installed and the coating is delaminating and starting to look bad. Really upset at the poor quality on these.

Just a point; Depo is a wholesaler of automotive electrical parts, not just headlights. Who knows where the headlight you buy comes from?

That's always been my point , Don. These aftermarket products are all very cool looking but will the manufacturer stand up and warranty the product?? So, far I don't think so!!

There's really no way to contact them either. The brand on the headlight is stamped "Depo" but no telling if they have their own manufacturing setup or not.
