I have only used a dust mask for my project... The itching was extremely annoying at first, but I eventually got used to being exposed to the fiberglass dust and it didn't seem to bother me as much. For the past couple months I have not been sanding fiberglass. When I get to the point where I need to sand again, it will probably be like it was in the beginning of my project and I will be itching like crazy until I get used to it again. Ugh.

Four little words Ben...Tyvek Disposable Bunny Suits.
Cheap, cheeful, you won't itch like mad, and you can freak out your neighbors by describing the size of the "spill" and the possible "mutations" they should look out for.

Been thinking about your project Ben, and the rear diffuser.
No matter how I envision it, a diffuser just seems to be a contradiction in design language from the era you're pulling your inspiration from.
How's this for an idea, lose the diffuser, and glass in the rear under bumper area with a roll pan and exhaust outlets along the lines of the 1953 Wildcat I showcar.
And maybe work in chrome "bumper-lets" along with ventral fin theme surrounding the license plate.

Mike, the beauty of working with foam is that it is cheap and easy to work with. I can get a visual without being committed to a shape. I have foamed things in on this project and carved away only to decide that I am not convinced that the first idea was my best one. So I simply refoam and walk away and try another approach the next day. This was the case with my first run at the front bumper, and will most likely be the same for the rear. I can tell you for sure that the rear lift gate is shaping up to be a keeper :)
And I have always maintained that although the original Super was a source of inspiration, my intent has always been to make a modern homage that blends old with new. It seems very plausible to me that some variation of a diffuser could be successful in this design.
I do Love that wildcat concept though! And your input is, as always, much appreciated :)

Victweezy, the beast is coming along very slowly due too all of the sub zero temperatures we've been having in Northern Indiana. As soon as the weather breaks, I will be tearing it up! I am getting very anxious to get at it again!
Double, I can't wait until it's done either! LOL
Lots of interesting changes are in the pipeline :)

The weather has been too cold for my heaters in my Garage to keep up with... Don't want to do substandard work by rushing to get out of the cold... So I decided to wait.
Thanks for the flattering words Mike!
