Ben, I have been following your work and like most of us, I am quite impressed and in awe of it! One question....how is the visibility when you are driving it? The "normal" vehicle does have some blind spots and limitations and how does yours compare? Thanks!

Thank you so much for the kind words Jon. To answer your question, the visibility is a lot like an early 50's car....not so great. But it's a heck of a lot of fun to drive :)

So I have been on the fence about keeping the Bijou the stock Sunburst Orange or changing the color. Since the door jams will all need to painted from wrapping the fiberglass around the edges, I am leaning more towards putting a color more fitting of the 53 Buick Super. And since I still have a ton of block sanding left, now is probably the best time to play around with color. This way if I hate the color, it will be block sanded away anyhow. Here was what I put on her today....turquoise with a matte silver metallic clear coat.

I know it's hard to tell since it was getting dark, but what do you guys think?

I kinda like the turquoise theme. Old-school!!!!

I can hardly wait till you take it into a GM dealer for some service - "wha wha wha the he** is it? Boss, come see this - is this real?"

I have always been a big fan of that color so I am biased. It is one of my favorites from the 50's. I think it looks great.

The portholes and chrome trim really tie the whole project together.

Ya know Ben, even though we've never talked about what color/colors you were leaning towards, that turquoise is what I've always envisioned. It fits the design so well that I'd be reluctant to go in any other direction.

As always my friend, your skills continue to amaze and delight.

Thank you guys for the kind words of support! I am glad you all like the turquoise! To me it seemed fitting...I will post a daylight shot later so you all can get a better view of the new color.
