HID opinions please
I'm planning on ordering 2 sets of HID's for my new (used) HHR. I picked up an 09 2LT.
I think I'd like to go with 6000k headlights and 3000k fogs. 35w for fogs but wasn't sure about headlights. Are most folks using 35w or 55w for headlights? Anyone have opinions to share on the matter??

Also, DDM's options are 3000k or 4500k. I'd like the yellowish look for the fogs. Do you think the 3000k's are too yellow?

I just checked the bulbs that I had removed from my HHR. They are Phillips 55/65 watt, with around 3500 K if I remember correctly. So, using a higher "K" factor changes the lighting color and extends into a different spectrum. I replaced my OEM's with 4500k 55/65 watt Hella.
I personally would use nothing higher than about 5000, which is a true white. Going higher moves into the "blue" light spectrum which begins to lose visibility. JMO
Just remember to re align the beams, and as someone suggested, aim SLIGHTLY lower to prevent blinding approaching drivers.

Here is a color chart for 35w HID's.
If you jump up to a 55w system, you can move up to the next "K" number for the same color, but you have to remember that the actual brightness of the HID is washing out it's own color, that's why you can move up.
Yes, the dual in/out kit is the wiring harness every one mentions. I used one for the fogs, but the H13 hi/low kit essentially has one built in and it's not needed, or at least mine have never misfired.

Anyone done LED interior lighting. I'm very interested in this. New Dodge vehicles have it and it's fantastic. Any leads on where to get bulbs? Which bulbs to get??
Thanks everyone!!
