Exclamation How to Hook up additional Signal Lights?

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me out! I plan on hooking up additional signal lights (LEDs) on the side of my hood! Where would be the best spot to splice into the signal wires? And would I be able to have them as running lights as well?

Thank you!

Here are the new LED's I plan on hooking up:

Welcome to the site. I removed your duplicate post in the other thread. It gets too confusing.

I would think you should be able to find the turn signal positive and ground easy behind the head light.

From the description of the lights you posted they a only for turn signals. To make them into running light also you would have to wire in a resister and a few diodes.

My advice would just use them as turn signals.

Problem being: they all run through the BCM and IT monitors total resistance. Some electrical knowledge required.

So...? are you saying I might need some sort of a resistor hooked up in the line somewhere? For the time being, I will attempt to hook up as "flashers" (by spicing into the signal & ground wire) hoping that the LED Strip lighting will work without any intermittent flashing!

No, I'm saying if you don't understand the electrical system of the car and how LEDs work, you will most likely be disappointed

I tapped into the parking lights for my running board lights. I used the parking light wire for the parking function, and the turn signal wire for the turn signal. But Recon's were set up to function as both parking and signal lights.

I had seen some of your other posts, quite informative! btw, I like the idea of your 48'' Big Rig running board lights, Might be interested in doing that to mine at some point.
I hooked up aftermarket fog lights just recently, but kept blowing fuses (only because I had no relay hooked up) it was to much of a drain on the fuse box directly! With the relay in place, no more blowing fuses!

So back to the signals,
I think I will try spicing into the signal wires, (only use them as signals, instead of running lights) and see if the LED's work! ( I am waiting for a friend to check into it more for me before I do) Just don't want to blow out my LED's.

BTW, Thanks to all for your input, much appreciated, and to anyone else who would like to add their own suggestions!
