Melted tails
i used the vht tail light tint on my tails about 6 months ago and now the very centers of them look like they melted. there are slight "cracks" in the tint. has anyone else had this problem?

It might just be the tint coating itself that's cracking from the heat of the bulbs, if the lenses are melting you need to check and make sure the bulbs are not the wrong type etc. And if you've switched to LED replacement bulbs, be forewarned that they can give off tons of heat.
When you are out driving with your lights on, stop and feel the lenses, slightly warm is OK....hot is not.

Actually, high intensity LED's can give off lots of heat, that's why there are restrictions on where LED bulbs can be used in the home. Turn a bulb designed for a table lamp upside down and install it in a ceiling fixture, instant overheat condition and bulb failure or fire.
