Parts are Painted-Front Visor+Stone Guards
I drove on over to the Body Shop and picked these up.
Front Windshield Visor and the '07 Rear Door Stone Chip Guards. (Used on earlier HHRs without the running boards)
I like the added dimensional look of them. And any extra chip protection is always a plus.
Of course we have been in the 80s here for the last week and of course we have dropped to 60 with rain today and rain the next couple of days and temps in the high 50s to mid 60s all this coming week.
I'll let the paint cure a few days and as soon as it's nice and dry out install them.
Should look nice with the new rear spoiler I recently added.
Hopefully the HHR Car Cover still fits after the Front Visor is installed.
(I think it will, seems to be enough material, may just pull it up off the windshield a bit.)

And as you posted> *It all looks real sweet ..... You still may want to add some 3m clear bra material to the gaurds to protect there paint .....
Oh and nice car cover also .....*
I have been watching ebay for a pair, found one side available currently.
I will most likely go get a small piece of the clear bra vinyl, and then make my own patterns in FlexiSign Pro, and cut them out on one of my vinyl plotters.
Will wait 30 days at least for the paint to Fully Cure before doing it tho.
Bought the Cover here slightly used, looks New. Got a good price on it.

so your adding the door guards WITH the running boards........bold!
i agree with your statement of the "3-d look";gives it a fatter appearance and imo adds to the classic look.
looking forward to pics when you get the stuff slapped on!

My Panel is a 2008 2LT came with the running boards, so never had the Older Thick style chip guards. I liked the look and added depth they give.
Even with the running boards, I wanted to Add these to my Panel for a long time, finally came across a set.
I tried wrapping them in Chrome Vinyl, but the vinyl I had on hand was never meant to be wrapped on anything so it creased in a few spots trying to wrap the compound curves.
Not good enough for Morticia, so I ripped it off and sent them to the paint shop along with the Visor.
Won't be as noticable as if they were Chromed, but will add a little Detail to that rather flat area, and give some added Protection.
I found a true stretch Chrome Vinyl, but it is Expensive.

I still may order some up, we'll see.

Yeah, it is pretty cool, like you said, reminds me as well of the old Hot Wheels cars (still got my collection from when I was a kid, and i'm 50 now. lol My Mom kept a bunch of my brothers and my toys saying "one day your kids will get a kick out of playing with your old toys")
On ebay-
A 60 inch wide by 4 yard (12 feet long) roll, is $959.40 plus $17.79 shipping.
A 30"X30" piece is $99.94 plus $8.13 shipping.
NOT cheap. I may spring for a 30X30 inch piece, AFTER I do my Supercharger install.
I just got back from the bodyshop supply place and bought a roll of 3M double sided tape , 5 packets of 3M adhesion promoter 06396 and a tube of 3M window-weld 08606 Urethane to install these parts. Now I just need the weather to change so I can install.

The install materials await the return of warmer dryer weather.
Looking at our 10 day forecast, looks as though next weekend might be warm and dry enough for the 3 day cure time.
I'm dying to install this stuff. But I know it's best to wait the weather out for proper long term adhesion.
