Question about spot on fender

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question but here goes:

I bought a 2010 HHR about 2 months ago. It's in very good shape but does have a few scratches, chips in the paint, etc. There is one spot on the right front fender that bothers me. It looks like someone smeared some touchup paint over a small chip in the finish. Below is a photo with a nickel for scale. The chip is visible in the middle of the smear. The low angle of the sunlight makes the chip look white, but it's actually red like the rest of the finish. It's not very obvious but I'd like to fix it if I can. Any suggestions, advice, questions? Thanks in advance for your help!

I'd try some polishing compound. Maybe a mild buffing compound.

Was there a DNA test involved or did you see the deed done.

Bird poop? Squirrel piss? I guess I could try washing the car before I go buy some polishing compound! But really, that sounds like some pretty strong squirrel piss. Are you sure some Alien wasn't drooling on your car? Was Sigourney Weaver seen in the vicinity?

I've owned everything from hamsters to ferrets... I know what that viscous stuff looks like, and its super acidic. Makes navel jelly look like tooth paste

I for one do not want to know how you know that, the Navel Jelly and toothpaste part, good for polishing your fillings, but nasty nasty
