Side view mirror pictures

I need an exploded view of the side view mirror. Going to make them heated and have to see how it's assembled.
Thanks.

And they still work

The heated signal mirrors are still working fine. There is some rattling noise in the center console, and they had to do wiring in there for the installation. Of course, girlfriend has noise in her center console, because previous owner put an on/off switch for power to the cigarette lighter. Once disturbed, that area never seems to quiet down!

I just recently finished my heated mirror project. I bought mirror heater elements from Burco and put them on the stock mirrors. It works really well, now that we finally have some snow for me try them out.

The hardest part was running the wiring through the mirror housing. The mirror housing (item #1 in the picture a few posts back) has a rotating joint so the mirrors can fold. The rotating joint must be a one-time snap together joint, as i could not get it apart. The plastic trim pieces won't come off until the joint is apart, but the pieces hide the joint itself. I ended up drilling a small hole in the plastic trim from the underside of the mirror so I could use a fish wire to make the tight bend below the rotating joint.

Total cost was about $110 for 2 mirror heater elements ($60), 2 new mirror glass/plastic backer pieces ($45 because I had to use the car with the existing mirrors while I was doing the project) and a switch ($5).

I've read where people have used ATV and motorcycle grip warmer grids. I use to install grip warmers on snowmobles and on high you could really feel the heat thru your gloves. With this type heating grid you don't need a relay just an on/off switch wired to a switched battery source.

Fastsuv, how did you separate part 5 from 3? I understand if I heat the mirror glass it will release the glue (6 from 5). I'm thinking of using my shop heat gun for this and taking my time. Also do you have the part number for #5?
