yellow headlights
i have heard tons of times that yellow headlight bulbs are better for driving at night. is that true? not sure if i'd like em or not. if anyone has em can you post a pic?

From a lighting design standpoint. Yellow is very low in intensity 2000k white is middle of the road at around 5600k, and blue is near the top at around 10000k again I'm basing this off of my knowledge of theatrical lighting and it's theory.

Here's a referance chart.
Yellow is designed for cutting into fog. Better visibility. Not necessarly good for distance.
White, around 4500 kelvin is best to distance.
Above 6000 kelvin changes to more blue then to purple and actually looses output in distance.
I'm referring to 35w HIDs as 55 watt washes out color more and is too much, IMO, for street driving. I don't know of any OEM that uses 55 watt HID's. If you decide to run 55 watt's, you can just to the next kelvin rating for the same color, but it's too intense.
