they are called dayton audio, very nice speaker from a local company, they have a huge website called partsexpress. not too much was involved used a hole saw to cut the old speaker grill out, then used my dremel to clean up the hole. made the hole slightly smaller than the speakers and pushed em through.

Good luck with the longevity. I've found that for what I am trying to do rattle cans won't work. If I ever get off my lazy ass and finish making the mold for the vents I'll know if I have a solution to the heat issue.

Having to do with longevity, the only issue i see arising would be heat issues with it maybe fading from the sun.. I have painted pillars in other cars before the exact same way and have never has issues with chipping or fading. i guess we will see..

Yeah, I did mine a couple years ago. just like that, I took them off. I just cleaned them and used cheapsht flat black from Home Depot. Looks just like the factory dash and has held up perfectly. I'd do the B pillars too except the seat belt thing makes me have to think too hard.

Thanks for the intel. Very familiar with Dayton Audio, used to get the PartsExpress catalog years ago. Guess I need to request a new catalog from them or poke around on their website.

looks good and if it eventually fades or what not, you can always re-paint it
