OK...since I've been asked...& taking into consideration of some place that would cater of people of all ages...I'll make this suggestion...sticking with the 50's theme...how about a true 50's Drive In restaurant?..the link I included has pictures of the 2 places I will suggest...the first & most obvious choice...is a place called Distelfink's (pics are on the bottom of the link)...its only 3 miles from Renn Kirby...in the past...they have cruise nights on the 3rd Saturday night of every month during their season (what a coincidence)...& this place draws them from far & wide...I've been up there & have seen 250-300+ cars on some cruise nights...however...this place has been for sale for many years...& I haven't been up that way in a few months to see if someone/thing bought it...

The 2nd option...Crabbs Tropical Treat (pictured in the middle of my link)...I know will be open...because this place is only several miles from my house...(its about a 20 minute drive on Route 30 East & a mile down Pa 94 south)..this place still has the true drive in car booths...& car hops to wait on you...it does have some cruise nights...but they usually are limited to 50s era cars...whereas, Distelfink's is anything you bring...street rods, muscle cars, trucks...would this interest amyone?

What would folks like to do on Saturday? There is always the ride around the battle field, along with the museum. Open to suggestions.

Renn Kirby Chevrolet

ATT: Gary Moser

The dealer is only 1.5 miles from the Hotel see you all there
I just sent the following email to Gary Moser at Renn Kirby:

To Gary Moser,

Hello! I read on the HHR forums that you folks are hosting a BBQ for the HHR people coming into town on May 17. I am a professional DJ that specializes in '50s sock hops and I offered my services for free (I own a 2007 2LT HHR) for the HHR group. I have an idea; what if we did a 1950s sock hop in your showroom for the HHR people and your employees? Your employees could decorate the showroom and we could have a costume contest (best 50s outfit). I will also have some fun contest (bubble gum blowing contest, hula hoop, etc). Let me know what you think. (And my services are FREE!) You may want the local press there too; great promotion for your dealership!

Sincerely, Barry Lyons (HHR Forum name: MWG2)
