Question for the guys in MD.
Funny thing happened on the way to gettin' my title! What is the Maryland MVA calling the HHR? A car? A SUV? Look at the Chebby web site, they call it both a car and a SUV.
On my title that I just recieved from the Maryland MVA it's classed as a 4S (4 door sedan). It was sold to me as a Chevy truck/SUV (class M). I traded in a SUV (class M) and they transferred the tags off it to the HHR. Maryland tells me they proess it as it is recieved. Dealer says, depending on who you talk to, Maryland is wrong/ right!
So guys ......what did your dealer sell you and what did Maryland give you???????

Just looked ar the title for my panel and it shows body style as 4S which stands for 4 door sedan. I'm a fleet manager for a police dept. and do alot of title work. I bought mine at Criswell and they did tag and title on site, so I don't know if their title person screwed up or not. The original tags issued were for a car, which I changed to Vanity tags. My insurance company didn't
give a classification other than HHR.

I just checked my title and the body style is classified as truck. I bought mine at Adams in Harford County and they did the title and tags right there. So I take it that it's the dealers choice rather than the MVA's since others have theirs classified as sedans? Also, aren't the registration fees for trucks higher than those for cars? If so, does anyone know if I could petition the MVA to get it reclassified?
