I had them covered with some really nasty faux carbon fiber vinyl overlays that I cut, but they looked terrible (you could see gold through the tape). Got off early today for the weekend and got bored, so I ripped off the vinyl, taped off the bowties and shot them with basecoat/clearcoat black (4 coats of each). Kind of a useless mod since I ordered billet upper and lowers for her yesterday, but what the hey! Now, to fill those terrible license plate mount holes and touch that area up.

Thanks ya'll! These things really are addictive. I took the Stang out last night for some "unsupervised time trial" activity, and it was fun (haven't driven it since I got the HHR), but I missed the H the whole time I was gone. I have a guy interested in the GT, so she may go in the next few weeks. That would definitely free up some mod money for the H.

 

since u ordered your new grille are u going to sell ur old one?
