06 will not turn over

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anybody had this happen to them;

I turn the key on and everything lights up. Then I turn it to start and "nothing"

fuses are good, no engine lights on dash, battery is good.

here is the catch.

if I wait 4-8 hours it will start. shut it off and try to start it and nothing again.

getting frustrated.

thanks for any help.

Brian

My guess would be, the key program is not always read reliably. Why, I don't know, but I would get it checked before you wind up stranded somewhere.

at this point i cannot drive it anywhere because i know what its going to do.

i will remove the battery and have it tested, but i will put up a bet this isn't it.

no clicks, slow starting, dimming etc?

starts when it decides too???

After having the software flashed with the updates when i bought it a year ago to just pass emissions.

this doesn't surprise me.

thank you all for your time and input.

Heres a shot in the dark. check the relays it the fuse center under hood make sure they are all pushed in all the way. also look for the starter relay and swap it with another one from the center. I swap the starter relay with the horn relay. if it still wount start then you have ruled out a bad relay.

Do you have remote start? See if that works. If it doesn't, you eliminate the key as the problem.

remote start acts the same way as the key.

thanks for mentioning that.
