Question 2 Questions!

1. Anyone found a cure for the outside temp gauge that is so off or don't move at times from start up ?

2. Why does my On-Star just come on by itself says On-Star is ready or it will just ask for the number to dial for no reason, with no one touching it.

Help these are my biggest HHR SS problems.

Oh yea no SS Splash Guards either come on GM get with it !

Outside temp guage...My dealer changed the sensor in the right front fender. Mine can still take
5 - 10 minutes to change after sitting.

Others here have trimmed the LS / LT molded splash guards to fit the SS..

Don't know about the OnStar issue....that's weird.

If your press and hold the mute button on the steering wheel that will activate OnStar phone. Just a thought.

My outside temp sensor is also flaky.Verrrrrrry slow to change temps,if at all.Showed 77 degrees all of today.I don't rely on it-it's more of a joke than anything else.

I had the on-star issue at first, then I realized that the way I held the wheel was pushing on the mute button which will activate the calling feature. I had to find a new hand position and problem was solved.

The out side temp problem is probably the sensor. I've not had that problem on my HHR, but in my Buick. The dealer never could isolate the problem. It went away when I went in with the problems. I finally bought a new sensor and the problem went away.

If I'm hot, I either put the windows down or turn the a/c on. If I'm cold, I put the windows up or turn the heat on. Don't need no thermometer.
