I think he needs to find out if he can add the VVT to his car. I know that there are kits for V8, but I'm not sure if they offer it for 4 cylinders.

Are The valve cover with the VVT shown in the pictures above are from a 2006 hhr 2.2 ltr engine? I was going to put my 2008 2.2 ltr hhr cylinder head on an 2006 2.2 ltr engine. But you guys are saying it won’t work because of the VVT sensors.

The 2008 VVT head has oil passages so the solenoids will work with VVT (Variable Valve Timing).
The 2006 wasn't made like that.
You could use the 2006 valve cover on the newer head style but you would have to block off the oil passages in the newer head.
Or possibly use the newer head with solenoids in place along with the newer valve cover. Don't really know, just a shot in the dark with this.
Get the correct head for your application.
