2006 fuel preasure regulator

One last question, and I'll get off this wagon.
Normally, the pump relay will let the pump run for 3/5 sec before cutting off, mine runs for 10+ seconds before stopping. Would that cause a "high fuel pressure" code?
Thanks for all the help..Bill

Don't know you never gave a trouble code, but I would put a guage on it and see what the pressures are before I pulled the tank.

Was it a P0193 (Fuel rail pressure sensor circuit high input) by any chance? I recall brother having that code come up on his Expedition. The dealership took care of it under warranty. I don't recall what the remedy was however.

Just because the title of a trouble code seems to mean something doesn't mean that's the problem. For instance a HO2 sensor code may be a bad exhaust flex pipe. The codes are meant to direct a qualified technician to a point on a diagnostic tree, not as Autozone would have you believe "buy a new HO2 sensor, no refunds on electrical items".
Just a caution against throwing expensive parts at problems.

P0004 Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit High...... Cheap OBDII/CAN reader.
I thought I had it set on "CAN" cleared code, seems to be running OK now. May have been set on OBDII, if it does it again I'll go to Autozone, and have them read it.
Bill..AKA electronics dummy!!!!

This info was from the code/instruction book that came with the reader. Still wondering if the long running pump @ ignition switch on may have caused it. Think I'm gonna change that relay anyhow, see if that changes the runtime at startup.
