2006 hhr basket case *need some help*
2006 chevy hhr.
codes: p0106, p0371, p0500, p0768, p0916, p0300, p0568
car will turn over and run momentarily but shuts back off?
any help is much appreciated

reasonably competent home mechanic lol... and im scratching my head. cleared codes, cleaned MAF, got it to sit idle.... but once you try to press the gas peddle it breaks up and shuts the engine off.
any wild guesses or where to

These codes have a common issue , wiring! Inspect the connectors for bent pins , corrosion, broken wires, inspect the ground wires, are they clean and tight? Inspect the TCM connector and howsabout the fuse box under the hood, these codes rarely show up, but they are all connected to the computers, via wires!

They might not be specific to the HHR, might be the code reader. Could be all those loose connections .
Try CatMan’s theory, disconnect the negative cable at the battery for a full 30 minutes, reconnect it and keep an eye on the CEL
