In the past month, my sunroof has become loose. Pretty much every bump I hit..the sunroof started to rattle... While sitting in the car I can move the sunfoof up and down by gently pushing on it. I took the car to the dealer when it had 34000 miles on it..they said it was normal for the sunroof to do that! I told them that is has not done it for the year and a half.. I bought this car new!

They advised me they went out and check other HHR's for this same thing...said they all do it...! NOW im on my extended warranty..

Just wondering if any of you have noticed this problem or would mind trying to see if yours is loose.

On Dory (06 model) my sunroof can be pushed up/down by maybe an 1/8". Sometimes I notice it after exiting and closing the driver's door and it looks like the front is raised a bit. But no rattling or other noises.

 

I can raise mine up about the same, but it rattles on the side closest to the passenger side.

 

Go to a different dealership.

 

That's easier said than done... Now Im out of warranty.... If I take it to another dealer... I will have to pay to have it looked at...right...

 

Anybody know how, I can contact Chevrolet by email about a problem im having with my vehicle. Problem taken to my local dealer, they said it was normal, all HHR's sunroofs rattle, which mine only started after 34K miles...
NOW im passed my 36K miles, yes I do have a extended warranty... but with a deductible.

This why I didn't get a sunroof, I love em but they almost always have problems.

No such thing as a "normal" rattle in a sunroof!

 

There is another thread right now with a couple people having loose sunroof not fixed by the dealer. Glad I decided not to get one.
