A dealer should charge 1 hour labor plus all that other "incidentals" they love like rag disposal fees etc. So $122 doesn't sound out of range.

 

I read up more about the Tech2 and I am tempted to do this myself. I am thinking of getting something like this


and buy the flash to reflash it myself. Look like the software is 40 dollar but will it work with a dongle from Amazon?

 

I read the review and someone mentioned that it can't be use to reprogram anyway.

 

You are looking at about $500- $1000 with a candi module then a subscription to TisWEB.
The VXDIAG claims to do SPS programming if you have the subscription. But, you will need a Windows computer to use it. The reviews I read say it works good, just no directions you have to figure it out (or hope the reviewers are correct).
