2007 lt 2.4 no crank

Had the battery checked, it passed, along with alternator both passed. Put key in, everything lights up normal, turn key to start, NOTHING. Car isnt even trying to start. I will check tomorrow to find out if ignition switch recall was ever done, could be possible cause right?

Any other insight would be great! I know there are other threads about this problem but after reading and reading I never really did find the FIX.....

Thanks in advance!

There are a few things to check.

First check the battery connection to the under hood fuse box.

This connection is known to loosen up over time and it will cause a no crank condition.

Hmmmm, I will for sure check that in the morning. I ended up leaving the car at the auto parts store where I was ordering the exhaust camshaft solenoid, get the pesky check engine and traction control lights off. I just bought this car last week and so far its in pretty good shape, just little things here and there, until this no crank problem. I just hope its something simple like this connection is loose....I will keep the forum posted. Anyone else got anything , PLEASE share ;-)

Just a FYI. It's probably nothing to do with the ignition recall. A no start issue was not one of the problems related to that recall.

x2 on the ignition switch not being at fault.

After you confirm the codes , double check the ground wires they are known to shake loose also both under the hood and in the battery area

No, it would not stop it from cranking. You are looking at two unrelated problems. Check out those power connections and grounds as above for the no-start.
