under the red cover for the positive post by fuse box is where you jump it. make sure the nut on it is very tight and all the fuses are pushed in

being that low I would suggest going straight to battery...

I would recommend straight on the battery too. Rear hatch, under the spare tire location.

not battery

My car drove fine yesterday, no problem. Battery is new, and we checked it, battery is fine. In fact, we tried jumping it for an hour thinking the cables weren't making connection, bad cable, try another, etc. The dash lights come on, headlights come one, but when I turn the key, no click under the hood, no nothing. I was thinking relays, but they all appear to be fine. I can't afford a starter, was hoping for something simple. Any suggestions?

Hmm. You jumped onto the end of someones old thread. Maybe you should try your own thread and start from the beginning.

If the battery is "fine" then why would you try to jump it. ?

Really, I think you should start a new thread and fill in some details.

x2 - and just because the battery is new does not necessarily mean it is good unless it is tested with a proper load tester.

Starters are cheaper than batteries.
BTW, did you hook up to the correct spots?

Check and make sure this cable under the hood is tight. They are known to come loose and can cause a no start.

Having similar issues with my 2008 HHR. Wont start and wont jump but lights/radio etc all working. Not sure if it's the security system or this cable is loose? How would I tighten it?
