Anyone having problems with engine compartment noises entering into.clicking ticking sounds like valve tappents. Gm claims along with service that this is normal due to high pressure fuel pump and fuel injectors. This annoying and not acceptable to me. Any one else?

It's a direct-injection engine, just like a diesel, so you're going to have injector clatter, and there is no insulation under the hood on the SS to reduce the noise. This is something that the Solstice/Sky owners have been dealing with for a while too. You might look into putting some Dynamat under the hood to see if that helps, or even the hood blanket that comes on the non-SS models for noise reduction.

I have the clicking at start up last for less than 90 seconds. Not a problem for me.

I guess I need to get my hearing checked, I don't hear anything other than the exhaust and what I would consider normal engine noise.
