Exclamation 2009 HHR SS Stalling in traffic

HI I have a 2009 Chevy HHR SS about 95,000 miles on it so not even to 100,000 yet.

The issue is intermittent stalling, it starts fine every single day then occasionally it will stall after driving for a while. I've noticed after being on the high way for a while then hitting traffic it will usually stall. It has also stalled more rarely driving on the back roads once I start cruising or at red lights. Other than stalling, there will be interment boost issues, all the sudden I wont be creating boost at all then all the sudden my boost starts working again this is very random. There is also this jerking back and forth ill get especially while accelerating and it will just jerk in and out of boost but not stall. When stalling my AFRs are reading 18 and especially when try to start it up again, it takes more tries to start depending on if i have some where to be or not, the HHR senses fear.

First 2 codes I received were the maf sensor and both the cam sensor or actuator. Replaced all three Codes gone except for maf

thought it was fist but nope problem still there

Now have 3 codes MAF, Misfire in cylinder 2&4

Changed Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils

seemed to be better but then started stalling in the same fashion again

My girlfriend drives it a lot and she hates in it stalls but I'm kinda lost on this one, I drive mostly Nissan and I've rewired one my engines after adding a turbo, so Id like to say I'm mechanically inclined. But any insight will be appreciated

I’d like to know the codes, the actual codes before I start, that way I’m no guessing. At that mileage you would be safe to change the spark plugs, AC Delco Iridium 41-108. Clean the MAF sensor and clean the throttle body.
With the LNF it could be carbon build up on the intake valves , could be a dirty air filter.

please post the full codes , not what they relate to.

A sticking waste gate could be part of it. Please post all of the actual codes.

What’s the maximum boost the car will make? Incidentally, do you have a boost gauge or RPD? Either way, I don’t know if it will do any good but I would try to look and what the vacuum/boost is doing when you have the trouble. Are you more likely to go to boost in city traffic or country?

Maybe he is waiting for spark plugs. Or maybe you’re right FMG , 1 & done
