Have spent the morning reading all the previous posts regarding code 2135 problems. It appears they all involve 2006's. Read the post #15 in the TSB section of the sticky section and it is for 2006 & 2007 models. I have a 2011 HHR with 107,000 miles on it. It seems that the problems with wiring rubbing and bad connectors would have been fixed by time the 2011's were built. Are there any new issues associated with P2135 or have they just never fixed the old problems and they don't show up until high mileages? Does this code only indicate connection issues or is it also used to indicate a bad TPS?

 

Just reread my post and realized forgot to mention my problem.
Two days ago the engine cut power and got the engine reduced power msg on the DIC. Also indicated that the traction control and I think something about the ESC disabled?(not sure on this one) Also the idiot light showing a sliding car also came on. Turned off car several times without starting and DIC still showed reduced power message. Waited about 5 mins total and tried again and no message and ran fine with check engine light on. Happened twice yesterday. Found out if I waited over 3 mins to restart would run normally. One of the 3 times, I was traveling a highway speed with cruise control on. One I had just left a stop sign and the other was slowing for a light. Went to auto parts store and pulled the P2135 code as mentioned.

Did you use the SEARCH TOOL at the top of the page to look for postings about the P2135?

I would try another store. The description you're giving sounds more like vacuum related. maybe EVAP system.

Codes should be still in the "pending" or "permanent" stacks, unless they were cleared.
