a new gm longblock runs in the neighborhood of 5k from gm. if they're gonna pay for that good for you. i would think they would pay for repair to said damaged cylinder rather than a completely new engine but hey...if they do then more power to ya!

zzp makes a complete upgraded longblock which is around 7k. as for the flywheel, if it is your dd stick to the stock flywheel. zzp sells them for the cheapest you will find. i run a ky stage 3 clutch, its a ceramic/kevlar 6 puck. it will handle about 500 ft/lbs and is very streetable minus some wicked chatter on when cold and in reverse. its also about the most affordable clutch on the market. turbotech racing is the exclusive distributor of ky clutches

Hmm sounds more like the cylinder leaned down and or detonated therefore taking out the cylinder.

How many miles still maybe covered by GM
What tune was in it HP tuners?

Of course there was no tune involved. Must have been a bad plug.
