My question is do I get a new factory long block from Chevy or is there any other builders out there that have an upgrade product?
It is also time to upgrade the fly wheel, clutch and pressure plate, suggestion?
Yes easy for spark plug shrapnel to jam between the cyl wall & piston.
However the wall is not gonna melt, the piston will fail first.. Yes the wall can get badly scored.

You better let pulstar get you a engine quick, since you stated they accepted responsibilty. Before someone changes their mind.

(edit): Pulstar has a 12.5% failure rate for spark plugs. YIKES !!

No doubt. Were it me, I wouldn't post any details about it anywhere until I was turnin' the key on the new engine. Manufacturers love to point fingers at one another when something fails.
