3 Codes at once: P0016, P0299, P0087
Limped the car to the dealership to diagnosis a check engine light that came on. They dropped the exhaust to check backflow and now they don't have a clue whats going on. They're best judgement is its the engine or turbo. Wow--smart. They want to start with a $800 a water pump. Absurd. Then maybe $2500 for more explorative replacements. I went to pick it up and now it will not crank after they dove into it. I'll be forced to tow with my truck.
Anyone get these codes all at once and able to discover the primary issue?
P0016, P0299, P0087. 2008 HHR SS with 165k miles.

First off the P0016 is an issue

The P0299 is turbo related and low fuel pressure

The P0087 is low fuel related and could've triggered the P0299 and vise versa

Given that those are the ONLY symptoms I have no idea what they are doing in the exhaust or water pump.
P0016 usually means the timing chain is loose.
P0299 means under boost. I don't know anything about turbo.
P0087 means low fuel pressure. Might mean one of the fuel pumps is bad.
There is a possibility of a loose or broken wire.
Mitchell 1 says you have to remove the turbo to get to the water pump making it a 6.8 hour job, for some reason they list the part at $251, which is ridiculous for a

Thanks gents. Checking it out. It'll be a long-term project this quarter. Will report back once potentially resolved so others have some leads for future fixes. Until its resolved, breaking open the wallet for a new ride.
