Unhappy AC Fan on 2011 wont blow.....

just curious what might be wrong with the AC fan in my 2011 HHR. It stopped blowing consistently a couple months ago....for a week or so, then worked fine up until last week....I feel the cold, but the fan isn't blowing it into the car....sometimes it comes on within about 20-30 minutes, sometimes it doesn't. I have checked fuses....Do you think it could be resistor or maybe compressor, or the ac motor? I'm so broke, I don't have money to go buy all the parts and hope that I can figure it out....Thanks. Lisa

I's either the resistor or the blower motor. My guess is the blower. Definitely NOT the compressor. Not good to run the A/C if the blower is not running (that's why there is an interlock in the fan switch to prevent it).

Welcome to the site

My guess would be the blower motor is failing. To find out you would have to do some tests with a test light of muti meter.

Being a 2011 could it be under warrantee or are you out on miles?

There is a fan motor relay in the fuse box under the hood. That might be a fairly inexpensive fix.
