Yeah, just have a couple of .22 shells fall into your defroster vent once, so much fun getting those out of the dash...ah, the joys of stupid youth.

I had a leaf in my filter making the same noise. Pulled out the filter, removed leaf, inspected rest of filter, knocked it on the ground lightly to get anything else out, reinstalled, no problem now.
