AC intermittant

AC intermittant
I have a 2007, LT1, 2.4 with 63K. The AC has started to run cold intermittently. Sometimes I have to turn it off and on repeatedly, then it will work OK until I shut it off. Is it likely a switch? sensor? in need of a recharge? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Honestly I could be any one of those things, but you'll need to try and eliminate some things during the diagnostic process.
The first thing to check is your coolant level, if its low, you'll get some out of range signals form the temperature sensor which can affect compressor engagement. Also pay close attention to you engine temperature, is it running consistently high, or low.
If the cooling system checks out, then you have to look at the switch module in the dash and even consider taking it to an A/C shop to see if the system is low on charge.
We had a member last week with a low charge and similar symptoms to yours.
