I'll second Lucky here, take a quick trip to a parts store to check for codes and have them cleared, the BCM might have become confused for some unknown reason. It also controls the engagement of the clutch on the compressor, since every time you punch the button for the A/C it actually sends an electronic "request" for clutch engagement and cycling.

got to a good shop and have them check the ac temp sensor. Its a realtively cheap ac fix, around $180.

Yes there are codes but don't know if they show under regular ODBII scanners or under a Tech.

I am assuming that your fan is in an on position and working? If not the A/C won't run. If the fan won't run at any of the speeds, check the fuse for the fan. No fan, no A/C. I panicked one hot day when I inadvertantly turned the fan speed dial to off and nothing was happening with the A/C indicator light when I hit the button until I realized my mistake with the fan!

How's the thermostat ? Someone here had one stuck open & it would not let the A/C work..
