The gap in the compressor clutch could be too wide. When this happens the clutch will not engage, even though everything is OK. Tap the clutch toward the compressor with the engine and A/C on and see if it engages. This can be dangerous, be careful! Use a wooden stick and wear safety glasses. Doing this will narrow the gap to where magnetism can pull the clutch together.

Same here Don. I ask the same thing about the compressor engaging. Since the OP hasn't come back to his own thread, who knows.

FMG your post was 2 hours after the last time the OP was here, so your not the only one ignored! Just like any of us, the OP has decided to not return to confirm wether or not the problem has been resolved, fixed or he’ll just use the 4/60 AC method!
