Added radio controls & cruise Quit

My cruise worked fine until I added radio controls. Using all the needed parts from a parts car. I installed radio controls to my 07 HHR. Radio controls work fine, but my cruise has stopped working. Dealership worked on the car for 6hrs today and couldn't find the problem. I also checked all the fuses and connections/plugs. Radio buttons light-up and work, Cruise/info buttons do not light -up or work. Yet power is coming to the switch, ie lights up test bulb. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Don't know but maybe if you read the thread in the How To section
(Adding radio buttons on steering wheel) there might be something. There seems to be different wiring harness. From there you could find out who did this also and send them a PM and asked if there was anything you might have over looked. I next to never ever use cruise but my wife would be lost without it. Hope you find the problem.

Sometimes the wiring in the harness is different. If you have the original harness, compare it to the new one. I think you'll find some differences and will need to move a couple of wires. If you don't have the original harness, check out this (VERY long) thread for additional info - https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-tutorial-library-21/adding-radio-buttons-steering-wheel-1912/

Good Luck!

It's WORKING!!!! Moved all five wires, so they matched original plug exactly. And that did it! Thanks,
