Air Condition varies

I think it will scale back on the AC when power is needed for just such a situation..... Haven't experienced it as I normally don't run the AC, or when I do I turn it off manually when I need power.... old habit.

Also the attached site says, SOME manufactures use a cutoff for WOT, not all. I don't frankly know if the HHR does or does not.

2 of the many conditions that will cause the ECM to command the a/c compressor clutch off are 1) throttle position is 100% or engine RPMs are above 4760. Now it depends on how long you stay in one of those two conditions as to whether you will feel warm air.

It shouldn't blow hot air immediately, I know if I'm running the AC and shut it off while leaving the fan on, it will still blow cold air for several minutes...... I know that's not an auto shut off because of WOT, but the same should happen, I would think.
