Anemic heater (cold tootsies)

Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem ... The car puts out plenty of heat but just not from the floor vents. If I turn the vents to floor only, the blower noise gets louder like its trying to force a large volume of air through a small opening. I can still feel a small amount of air coming from the defroster ducts and actually my face gets hot before my feet. If I turn the control to the dash vents, I get enough warm air to warm everything except my feet.
Took it back to the dealer for this and a few other annoyances and the answer I got was that "It is working within the design intent" In the meantime its starting to get kinda cold out and my tootsies are not warming up until I am sweating in a t-shirt. Anyone have any ideas for a fix?
I still love my HHR though...

I had that problem in my daughter's Monte Carlo, and it was a bad actuator. I don't know if that's the problem here, but it's definitely worth a trip to the dealer. My HHR is fine.

Sorry another cold weather question. I do not even know if I have ever turned my heater on.

That doesn't sound right to me. My feet stay very warm, in fact I have to turn the heat down fairly quickly becouse they get too hot. Also I don't notice any change in the sound switching to vent and floor.

I'd say try another dealer.

I'd say it's more like an anemic dealer.

I've used the heater a couple of times, just to try it. It blew me out of the car. Had to open the sun roof, and windows to exhaust the heat.

My wife just complained about the same thing. My truck is going back in first, then we can send her car in.

hmm, my heater can melt my shoes to the floor mat. I would see if the actuators is opening al the way, i dont feel any heat out of the dash when tunred to the floor setting. Also there are vents under the seats for the rear, see if the flow the is any good too

While it's still fairly warm in Florida, I used the heat this weekend and found it way too hot. I ended up using the vent but turned the temp to warm and it was fine. The heat confined on my feet was just too uncomfortable.
