Auto door lock inop

When I place my hhr in park it has always unlocked all door and when I remove it from park it locks all doors. This no longer works.I can still lock all doors with the switch on the drivers door or by the key remote. I also can hear a click in the shifter when I push the brake pedal.

Did you check the customization menu on the DIC.

If you don't have a Owner Manual you can get a free digital one from the link in my sig.

I have not checked the DIC menu but I will. This is a 2007 LS with 46207 miles and the original battery.

Get a new battery before you really need it. They installed 6 year batteries at the factory.

DIC menu is fine. I think I will replace the battery although I will have it checked first. I can feel the click in the shifter if I have my hand on it when I step on the brake. The click started while I was driving, then no auto door lock when I stopped.

Ok, after over one month of my sifter door lock problem everything started to work again. I did nothing except drive the car and put up with it not working. Any thoughts?

Probably a micro-switch sticking in the shifter assembly.
