had the problem for the last 3 days ,went out this morning lights are back to normal... go figure

If it does give you problems again, try the reset thing and let us know if it works for you.

From time to time when out driving over the last 8 years I've noticed the headlights occasionally on when the switch is in "Auto" and the Sun is shining. Next thing you know they're off? As long as they don't stay on when the HHR is turned off and parked I don't really worry about it.

I dont mind them being on, but you can see the radio stations too well cause they dim when the head lights are on

In the mean time you can adjust the dimmer switch on the dash. Then you can see the radio
