auto lock sensor

Any one know where the sensor for the auto lock is. All of a sudden I am having trouble locking-unlock still works great. to unlock -I have to hold down for a long time right by the car. I have changed the battery-try both key fobs-same thing-which leads to belive it may be the sensor. Will welcome your input.

I have the same problem. I had it earlier when the 36k warranty was still in effect and they gave me a new clicker. That worked great, then it quit working. I have on clicker that works sometimes, so i figure its not the sensor in the door, but the clicker. I tried finding new clicker and they range from $85 at the dealership to $35 or ebay, but the one on ebay does not come with codes to my car. I called dealership and they said they would not code it for free since i puchased elsewhere.

There is a thread on here about a bad solder joint in the remote, have a look for that.
