bad brake rotors?

It isnt always warped rotors, although most often that is the case.
This also happened to my brand new '08, but it went away after the first few days. Sometimes new cars sit outside on the lot for a while not being driven. This can cause a very thin coating of rust on the rotor everywhere except the area covered by the brake pads. This can cause a slight vibration until the rusted area wears down.

thanks prod. took a little trip and the brake problem is almost nil looked at the rotors through the wheels and they are starting to get shiny and the pads seem to be shedding a little dust so they must be braking in! no vibes but good vibes! see you all later new to bowtie.

after having to have the rotors turned at around 8k. then starting to shutter again at 12k...I replaced the rotors with OEM grade, and went with ceramic pads...I have 39k on them now and still lots of pad left, and havent had the shutter anymore....i have heard others discuss going with the ceramic pads, and it seems take care of the problem...though the pads are costly..

I just got my rotors changed yesterday. They even washed the car. Nice smooth stops now. I don't know if they had their terminology right as they said they were out of round. I believe they were out of flat (warped).
