Battery Life

I have the original battery in my 2006 1LT with 127K miles. I have owned the car since new for the last 6 1/2 years. This also includes accidentally running the battery down twice to where it needed a jump to start the car. Five cold winters included too.

the same situation as that of Steve.
My Hippo 2005. Native battery Akdelko alive and well to this day.
Three winters in New Jersey + fourth winter in the Urals.
This morning on my thermometer-13F, Battery cheerful and happy.
But every fall, I charge (fill?) it to the top

Next time I am working in the hatch area I am going to have to see if there is a date code visible on my battery. The car is an 07 with 70k and it has a factory delco battery but I am not the origional owner so I have no idea if it has been replaced or not. I did just accidentially drain it down a tad last week tuning my new amps. But 5 minutes on the battery charger and it started right up again.

Thing about batteries in our 'modern' rides, seems they will just go out when it is least convienent.
I'm still on the original battery in my '08..But I do load test it, to be aware of it's condition..
The auto parts can do this FREE also..
