The factory installed battery is supposedly a 6 year battery, they say.

I'm guessing the guy blew his battery tester up when he hooked it up under the hood; positive to the red and negative to THE POWER STEERING supply cable (like people who try to jump start without reading the directions); then he couldn't get it to read on the real battery.

Go to a different store and have it checked at the real battery.


The answer to the OP is: 30 minutes of headlights is longer than mine will go, and it is relatively new. My inverter, loaded with only a laptop battery charger starts screaming for more Volts after about 5 minutes.
