I tried all the auto stores in my area and no one had sport red metallic, so I went to my local dealer and picked up a bottle for $10. I picked up the primer and clear coat at walmart for $5 each. All were the Dupli-color brand, which matched perfectly.

trust me..that is just the beginning..one of the reasons I bought a hood deflector..may not be the look for everyone but they do cut down on the chipping...might be investing in the 3M clear bra and if so I'll prolly lose the deflector.

Ironic thing is the biggest chip I have was self inflicted!

I think I may go for the paint pen for the "Traverse Blue" (yes that is what GM calls the Golden Teal ) and get the primer and cc at Wally World on the cheap.

If the paint code is not the same, don't try it. I remember on my truck, it was called "Light Autumnwood Metallic". I could not find that touchup paint anyplace. I found it at the dealer. But I only gave them the code. By name, they wanted to give me something else.

I gave them my VIN # and they came back with Traverse Blue. The codes spec out to Traverse Blue also. Weird but that is what it is

I suggest the best place is with the dealer. I ordered some from paintscratch.com and it was close but not close enough for me. The dealer's was a perfect match and the clearcoat etc. I purchaed from Walmart. Sent the others back to paintscratch.

Can I order GM paint from any GM dealer? For instance could I go to a Saturn dealer and order Chevy touchup paint?

Much closer for me

I would think so I have gotten Chevy parts at a GMC dealer.
