So my gf's 2006 hhr 2.4L was throwing the p0449 code, so i went through the service bulletin by taking the fuse block off and checking the connectors, they were all fine. then i check the connector at the evap canister by the rear axle with my volt meter. Everything checked out good. I put it all together and went to start the car and it started for a second then died and now wont start! What do i need to do? Then when i do get it to start what part do i need to replace?

just had this code on my hhr had to replace the vent valve soleniod under the car. as far as it not running now I would disconect the battery for at least a min. then reconect and try it.

 

That code sometimes comes up if you overfill the gas tank. If it came on at some other time it might need to be replaced.

As for the other problem.

You took the fuse block apart and now it won't start. You might want to start with the fuse block connectors.

 

got the car to run. the fuse block wasnt tightened down all the way.

Whats the gm parts number for the solinoid??
