Black portion of running boards bubbling up?

I was in a Walmart parking lot today and walked by a 2006 HHR which caught my eye because it was in the beautiful Daytona Blue. Noticed that the black portion of the running boards was lifted in some spots and looked like it was bubbling up.

Has anyone else had thia problem? I'd hate to find out if I get an HHR that this is a known issue.

Btw was this anyone here? NH tags "OURHHR"

Oh Man don't say that, I have a 2006 HHr 2LT Loaded to the Max and I have no problem with anything on mine as of today and I have 39,000 + miles and the warranty is over and I just ran out to look at my running Boards and they are fine. Don't scare me like that I feel for that Guy who's Boards are acting up.

Mine bubbled after I installed them myself. Took it to the dealer and they are ordering a replacement.

Probably just a bad setting with the glue that day. If it's just the rubber portion, that's an easy fix.

The black portion is not glued down, it has plastic clips that let go from the underside and do not snap back down. Iowa you could try taking it in for warranty, just tell them it happened before 36K. They might fix it depending on your dealer.
