Blown head lamp fuse after seat install
Well as I posted in a different thread I completed the install of factory heated seats in my 07 LS yesterday.
Today my wife tells me that the left headlamp is not working. Of course I started to think I may have left something unplugged.
After checking and having no power to the left headlamp I checked fuses.
The LO beam and the DRL fuse was blown. When installing a new fuse to would blow instantly.
An older tech taught me long ago when figuring out electrical problems always start where human hands touched last.
So I removed the under hood fuse box because I made my headed seat connection there last night, flipped it over and sure enough found my problem.
Apparently I dropped a small piece solder on to the under hood fuse box before I put it back together and it smashed between pins B5(Lo beam feed )and pin C5 (ground ) when I tighten the box down and caused my short.
Had this car came to me without knowing that someone just worked on it the problem would have taken awhile to track down.
I just wanted to share this with everyone because something like this could have been easily over looked when tracking down electrical problems.
